Full house at Abbey Trade Park

An ambitious electrical wholesaler, a car servicing franchise, an automotive paint repair franchise and a plastics firm have all taken units at Abbey Trade Park in Mansfield – bringing it to 100% occupancy.

Property agent Innes England and FHP Property Consultants have successfully secured the deals in what has been an active period of lettings, echoing the demand for smaller industrial units at this popular development.

Hi Q, the award-winning car servicing franchise, has over 170 units nationwide and has moved into Unit 1 at the development.

YESSS Electrical, a new electrical wholesaler, intends to expand quickly with ambitious plans to open up a further 80 sites over the coming year.

ChipsAway has established a new base to provide car body and paintwork repairs.

Tru Plastics has also chosen Abbey Trade Park as the location to grow its business. The supplier of PVC building products has been in the Mansfield area since the business started five years ago.

Acting on behalf of Abbeyfield Estates, Innes England and FHP Property Consultants brought the four businesses to the popular trading estate on Hermitage Lane, which is already home to tenant Screwfix.

Scott Osborne, associate director at Innes England, said: “The four lettings so close together suggests the demand for this type of industrial unit is holding steady.

“All companies are experiencing considerable growth and needed premises that can support their plans. The lets give the new tenants 4,000 sq ft of space each and accommodation comprises of warehouse space with roller shutter doors, clean span space and extensive parking.

“Abbey Trade Park is a good accessible location and I wish Tru Plastics, YESSS Electrical, ChipsAway and Hi Q all the best for the future.”

Debra Robinson, Managing Director at Hi Q Mansfield said: “I’m thrilled with our new premises. Hi Q is expanding quickly and we needed a location that had great transport links in the Mansfield area and accommodation that suited our needs as a company.

The trade park is situated just off the A617 close to Mansfield and is only five miles from the M1and 14 miles from Nottingham.

Laura West, surveyor at FHP Property Consultants, commented: “The success story at Abbey Trade Park over the last 12 months in my opinion makes this estate the best performing trade park within Nottinghamshire. All four tenants appear to be trading well and we wish them every success for the future in this first class location.”
