Redsun announces 100% occupancy at first phase of spec build at Hawarden Business Park

Redsun Projects has announced deals on the entire first phase of Vista, located on Hawarden Business Park in North Wales, which has reached practical completion this month.

Unit 1 has been sold to Belzona Polymerics Ltd (21,746 sq ft) whilst Unit 3 (16,393 sq ft) and Unit 4 (16,393 sq ft) have been let to Sisters & Seekers Ltd on a 10-year lease. Unit 2 (11,534 sq ft) has been sold to a private investor.

Located on Manor Lane, Phase one comprises 65,000 sq ft of high-quality industrial space, split across four units. Built by Portal Construction NW, the high-quality industrial scheme has achieved a BREEAM Very Good rating. The design team was made up of C4 Projects, SGi, WaterCo, Crookes Walker and Langton.

A road on Vista has been named “Stephen Wade Way” as a tribute to director at Legat Owen, Stephen Wade, who sadly passed away in 2020,

Speaking about Vista, Craig Booton, director at Redsun Projects, commented: “Hawarden is one of the most established destinations in North Wales. The support provided by the Welsh Government has enabled us to build on the Park’s continued success, deliver these new facilities and sign occupiers up for the entire scheme. Naming the road after Steve hopefully reflects the big part he played both in the success of this development and also the wider success of Redsun over the years we worked with him.”

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with Cushman & Wakefield, continued: “The North Wales small to mid-box market remains extremely robust. With organisations including Airbus, Arriva North West & Wales, Carey Glass, Boardlink and ALS Environmental already based here, this scheme will appeal to occupiers that want modern, industrial accommodation in a highly accessible location.
