New occupier moves into The Capitol, Aberdeen

M&G Real Estate, advised jointly by Savills and Ryden LLP, has let office space at The Capitol at 431 Union Street in Aberdeen to Xodus Group Ltd.

The global energy consultancy has agreed to a new 10-year lease and will occupy 10,139 sq ft on the fifth floor of the prime city centre office building, which is widely considered one of Aberdeen’s superior commercial buildings.

Following this latest success, and demonstrating the continued demand for ‘best in class’ space, the sixth floor is now also under offer leaving only circa 20,000 sq ft available to rent over levels two and three.

Dan Smith, head of office agency at Savills Aberdeen, comments: “Situated right in the heart of Aberdeen city centre, The Capitol provides some of the best quality office accommodation available. Given occupiers continued flight to quality, this is an ideal location for an organisation such as Xodus Group, for whom sustainability and energy efficiency was front and centre of the decision-making process.

“Given The Capitol’s award-winning credentials, it is little surprise that we already have another floor under offer. What’s more, with the virtually non-existent development pipeline and diminishing supply of quality space in the city centre, we are seeing strong demand for the remaining space”

Xodus Group Ltd was advised by Shepherd Chartered Surveyors.
