Refurbishment creates sought-after premises at Nottingham industrial estate

Commercial property specialist, Mather Jamie, has secured new tenants for three units at a Nottingham industrial estate, after advising on a full refurbishment programme.

Mather Jamie has leased a 5,431ft warehouse unit at the Nottingham South Wilford Industrial Estate in West Bridgford to global firm Weatherford.

Weatherford, which operates in 137 countries and specialises in the manufacture of gas and oil exploration equipment, plans to use the new premises to support the company’s expansion.

Tom Meynell of Mather Jamie comments: “We advised our client to refurbish the three industrial units to an exceptionally high standard in order to provide the modern office and warehouse facilities today’s companies are seeking.

“Our advice helped to quickly generate interest in the three premises, which is supported by the fact we have secured tenants for all of the available premises.

“As a well-established industrial estate, South Wilford’s convenient road links to the M1 via the A453 ensures superb access to the north and the south, making it suitable for companies transporting goods across the country.”

Martin Kerry, Mechanical Supervisor at Weatherford, comments: “We have taken on the premises at South Wilford Industrial Estate in order to support an expansion of our global logistics department.

“Our main requirement was for more storage space for the products we manufacture at our main headquarters in East Leake, but it was also important to find premises located close by.

“Mather Jamie was able to offer us a suitable space, with a professional appearance, just seven miles from East Leake.

“The fact the premises had been refurbished to a high standard was a major advantage, because we were able to move in straight away and it is also essential for us, as a global company, to project a professional appearance at all times.”
