Last week the Edinburgh-based property consultancy team at Orinsen celebrated as it was named Retail and Leisure Agency of the Year at the Scottish Property Awards 2023. The awards took place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and recognised the best teams and individuals from across the Scottish property market.
Orinsen launched three years ago, at the beginning of 2020, and has gone from strength to strength since then. The team, rightly recognised as amongst the most experienced and best in Scotland, was recognised for its focus on and success in delivering a collaborative service to clients with strategic investment and asset advice.
Directors Andy Bain, Tom Forster and Anna Hansen set up the new agency with industry stalwart Eric Young to inject an innovative and entrepreneurial approach to the commercial property market in Scotland and beyond.
Orinsen has grown its team, assets and client roster in some of the toughest market conditions ever seen in the property market. In 2022 the business saw growth of over 30 per cent on the previous year.

The Orinsen team focuses on a number of core areas in the retail and mixed-use commercial markets. With a proven track record in delivery, the leaner agency structure offers greater agility for delivery and has maintained a sharp focus on strategy and maximising assets in the long term.
All four partners previously worked at Eric Young & Co for a number of years. Eric Young founded the company in 1983 and both Andy Bain and Tom Forster worked with him for 28 and 13 years respectively. Anna Hansen joined in 2017, working closely with Bain and Forster in the retail and leisure sectors.
