Greggs takes a bite out of One The Square

Greggs has taken a 1,638 sq ft retail unit on the ground floor of Bristol’s One The Square mixed use scheme. The 49,397 sq ft building is owned by the Canal and River Trust and offers a mix of uses on the ground floor and occupiers include Wetherspoons, Starbucks, The Medical and Philpotts.

The building is located adjacent to Bristol’s Temple Meads station and has recently undergone a significant refurbishment to the office suites, reception area and common parts, including new bike and shower facilities. Office occupiers include Global Radio, RSM and Pagegroup, and there is just 12,000 sq ft left available following the recent refurbishment.

Nigel Metzner, portfolio manager at the Canal and Rover Trust, said: “Despite current market uncertainty, there was strong interest in this unit from a variety of occupiers attracted to its proximity to the station and nearby office worker community. The letting to Greggs has secured an occupier with a strong covenant whilst also improving the amenity and F&B offer within the scheme”.

CBRE and Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) are the letting agents on One The Square, while Greggs was advised by Savills.
