Plymouth city retail parade sold

Located at the west end of the Plymouth’s shopping area, the long leasehold interests of 9 retail units have been sold to Plymouth City Council as part of their West End Regeneration project. The units are situated fronting New George St and Raleigh St adjacent to Burger King, Paddy Power, and opposite McDonalds and the Plymouth Cross Leisure/Retail/Hotel/Student scheme. The retail units also front the Colin Campbell Court redevelopment area of the City Centre.

Monk & Partners represented the syndicate of investors in the transaction and have subsequently been re-instructed by Plymouth City Council to offer the individual shops To Let on a short term basis for a maximum two year term prior to their demolition to open up and form part of the Colin Campbell Court scheme.

John Slade commented “the regeneration of the West End is much needed in a time when there has been a substantial increase in the number of vacant retail units in the City Centre. That said interest has been encouraging both for the temporary units and for the longer term unit Monk & Partners are also marketing for Plymouth City Council in New George St namely the former KFC premises.
