Braehead welcomes GAP to centre

Braehead, one of the UK’s most popular retail and leisure destinations, owned by property company SGS and managed by Global Mutual, is pleased to announce the opening of a new GAP store this November.

The much-loved clothing retailer will occupy a 1,314 sq ft space on the upper level of the mall, located within NEXT, hosting its own entrance.

The brand new GAP store, which will open its doors on 10th November 2022, will stock menswear, womenswear, as well as the retailer’s offer for kids, toddlers and babies.

This new store in Braehead is the fifth GAP store to open in the UK – since the brand returned to the British high street in 2021. GAP stores are now located on Oxford Street London, in Lakeside Thurrock owned by SGS and managed by Global Mutual, in Birmingham Bullring and at Manchester Arndale, with a further store due to open later this month in Manchester Trafford.

GAP continues to offer online shopping on its website GAP.CO.UK, and its next day, free Click & Collect and returns service can be used at the new Braehead Shopping Centre store, offering customers even more ways to shop.

GAP’s iconic logo hoodies and chinos for all the family will make the store a go-to destination.

All GAP’s denim is responsibly made using a water-saving global initiative, whilst Gap Baby styles are designed with 100% organically grown cotton.

The addition of GAP follows several other openings at Braehead over recent months, including H&M, FLANNELS, a new Laura Ashley concession in NEXT Home, Vanilla, Lids, Lovisa and more.

The new store also comes just ahead of Christmas festivities kicking off at Braehead – with Santa’s Grotto and the centre’s festive funfair opening to visitors on 11th November, running through to Christmas Eve.

Braehead is a leading retail and leisure destination situated in Renfrewshire, just outside of Glasgow, covering 1.1 million sq ft and drawing from a catchment of approximately 2.1 million. The centre is home to a diverse mix of retail brands – including many renowned household names, such as M&S, Apple, Primark, Sainsburys and NEXT – as well as a host of exciting local and independent brands.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, comments:

“GAP is a great addition to our leading fashion offer here at Braehead and we are really excited to welcome the new store. This is an iconic, quality brand and one our visitors already know and love.”

“The store comes just in time for the Christmas shopping season and will be a welcome addition for those out looking for gifts, whilst enjoying the host of festive activities we have on at the centre.”
