TrustFord launches ‘3D virtual walk-around’ of new Aberdeen dealership ahead of launch in 2023

TrustFord, the UK’s largest Ford dealer group has launched a visualisation of their new Aberdeen showroom, ahead of the official opening in 2023. The technology enables customers to discover, view and take a 360-degree internal, as well as an external tour of the future development, from the comfort of their homes.

Stuart Mustoe, Acting Chairman & Chief Executive and Finance Director at TrustFord, said:
“The visualisation of the future development perfectly showcases how we will offer a great space for customers to come and experience the full Ford car and commercial vehicle range, with Ford’s ‘Signature’ corporate identity.

At TrustFord we’re always looking for ways to drive the standard in customer care and that’s why we’re investing across our network. The opening of our site in Aberdeen will be an important milestone for us and represents our desire to bring the TrustFord experience to more customers.”

The state-of-the art showroom will be based on a five acre site on the West Tullos Industrial estate and will create up to 90 jobs. The land was bought by property developers Knight Property Group last February.

Howard Crawshaw, Managing Director of Knight Property Group, added:

“We are delighted to have concluded a long term arrangement on the West Tullos site, which underlines TrustFord’s long-term commitment to Aberdeen.

The site has been cleared, planning consent is now secured and we are fully-committed to delivering the new car showroom, sales, servicing and storage facility for TrustFord. We expect to commence works on site in November, with completion scheduled during quarter four of 2023.

The development is in a prime location with great visibility and we truly believe that upon completion it will deliver a facility that TrustFord can be proud of.”

Ahead of the official showroom opening next year, TrustFord opened the doors of its temporary facility on Minto Drive, Altens Industrial Estate Aberdeen on Thursday 1st September.

The fully operational temporary facility includes New and Used Car, Motability and Commercial Vehicle sales, as well as Aftersales and Mobile Servicing. TrustFord’s industry leading Mobile Service operation allows a qualified Ford technician to visit customers at their home or workplace. The mobile vans have been operating in the area for 2 years and are proving to be very popular with fleet and retail customers.

Customers can take advantage of wider shopping choices including home delivery options, phone or live video appointments, and Bring it To Me NOW, enabling customers to reserve, select and have a used vehicle delivered from anywhere in the group to their home.

The temporary facility is fully staffed with a knowledgeable and experienced team, and they have had extensive training to bring them up to speed with TrustFord processes, systems and company ethos.

Glen Kenington, Regional Director at TrustFord, added:

“I’m proud to see the TrustFord family growing from strength to strength and I am delighted the temporary facility in Aberdeen is open, in advance of our official showroom launch next year. With years of Ford experience, our expert Aberdeen team will make sure our customers have the best experience possible when they visit us.”
