One of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary property consultancy firms, EDGE, has welcomed its 100th employee with the appointment of Simon Spencer. Simon joins as director in the EDGE Leeds office, representing a significant milestone in the continued growth of the business.
Simon brings a wealth of project management experience in the construction industry, through both the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience within the education sector specifically for the delivery of schools, Further Education colleges and Higher Education campuses across the north of England. Within the private sector, Simon has project managed large-scale infrastructure, commercial and mixed-use schemes.
Based in the fast-growing Leeds office, Simon will support the continued growth of the business, while providing high-quality project management expertise to EDGE’s ongoing education, infrastructure and commercial offering within Leeds and the wider northern regions.

Simon’s appointment builds on the company’s continued business growth in its established offices in Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham and London, resulting in a 40% year-on-year increase in turnover from 2021 to 2022.
Since the initial formation of the Leeds office in January 2022, the company has further grown its regional portfolio of commissions and local resource to a team of 21 professionals, incorporating project and commercial management to building and digital surveying services.

The company’s strong regional healthcare profile is underpinned through relationships with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS FT, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Trust, and Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The growing Leeds office will enable EDGE to build upon its existing client base within the city and the wider West Yorkshire region in the business’ focus areas of healthcare, schools and higher education, infrastructure, aviation, residential, retail, commercial and manufacturing sectors, food and drink, distribution, through both the public and private sectors over the coming years.
