Developer breaks ground on speculative warehouse in Towcester

Midlands-based developer Hampton Brook has broken ground on a new high-quality warehouse development in Northamptonshire, situated in the motor sport golden triangle.

Axess Towcester – a detached industrial/warehouse facility of 39,000 sq ft (3,623 sq m) – is being speculatively constructed on the Tove Valley Business Park in response to the continued demand for premium business premises, and the local expansion and diversification of the high-performance engineering sector.

Ian Jackson, Director at Hampton Brook, said: “There is clear demand for new high quality commercial space in the region and especially for units of this size in the Northamptonshire market where there has been a lack of new development.”

“Axess Towcester will help ease this constrained supply, delivering a detached Grade A industrial/warehouse facility on a 2.38 acre site. Being in an established employment area, close to occupiers including Tesco, Screwfix and Porsche, it offers a highly visible anchor for businesses connected with the automotive industry.”

The site, just north of Towcester town centre, offers a prominent and accessible location at the intersection of the A43 and A5, providing excellent connectivity to the wider motorway network, with easy access to the M1 and M40 motorways.

Completion of the unit is scheduled for March 2023 and when finished will offer an impressive eight metre eaves, two-storey office and amenity block, four level-access loading doors and extensive yard with generous car parking provisions. The building will achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating.

Ian added: “We have appointed Drake & Partners and Cushman & Wakefield as joint letting agents and are encouraged by the reported interest from potential occupiers. We are confident that the letting of Axess Towcester will bring significant investment and employment opportunities to the area.”
