Complete construction partner, Stepnell, has been announced as one of eight chosen contractors selected to deliver against the next generation SCAPE Regional Construction framework, which is expected to deliver up to £750million of new construction investments across the Midlands and East of England.

The achievement reflects Stepnell’s successful bid for Lot 2 of the SCAPE Regional Construction framework, which will provide significant growth opportunities for the business over the course of the four-year framework. The successful bid also reaffirms Stepnell’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and social value, which is vital to supporting the delivery of projects that leave a positive legacy for local communities and helping the public sector to achieve its net zero ambitions.

Tom Wakeford, joint managing director at Stepnell, said: “Our extensive experience and expertise as a complete construction partner, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable projects with high social value, aligns completely with SCAPE’s mission and purpose. We are therefore phenomenally proud of this successful bid and to be a part of team SCAPE.

“This achievement reflects not only Stepnell’s clear capabilities as an added value construction partner, but also the hard work and skill of our people at Stepnell, who I wish to thank for making this possible. Together as a business, we look forward to adding real value to projects through the SCAPE Regional Construction framework in the coming years.”

The SCAPE framework adds to Stepnell’s growing portfolio of both regional and national frameworks – so that Stepnell can continue to provide better service, earlier contractor involvement and more certainty of project delivery at and above client requirements.

Lewis Archibald, framework director at Stepnell, said: As a newly appointed SCAPE Regional Construction framework provider, we look forward to accelerating project delivery, maximising efficiencies and adding value across a wide array of projects. It is a huge honour, with a vast amount of potential to continue to enhance our position as a collaborative complete construction partner, which we are absolutely thrilled about.”

Mark Robinson, group chief executive at SCAPE, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stepnell to the Regional Construction framework and team SCAPE. The framework is designed to provide our clients with instant access to the best delivery partners in the region, helping to accelerate projects and empower local communities.

“As a key partner, Stepnell’s ongoing commitment to sustainability will be invaluable in allowing us to deliver on our social and net zero ambitions, whilst also providing value for money on projects.”
