Cadre Advisory, Penarth based business finance experts, has expanded rapidly in the past two years, growing from a team of three to 11, with plans to expand into Swansea and Berkshire.

Cadre’s newest team member is John Saunders, who joins as a Client Director, having spent 12 years as the non-executive Director of Cwmbran’s Festive Productions, and most recently running his own consultancy Zoar helping to refinance five SMEs.

Tom O’Brien, founder and Director of Cadre, said: “The past two years have been amazing for us at Cadre. Despite the pandemic our team has adapted and grown to the challenges both we and our clients have faced.

“The growth in our team numbers, as well as our expansion plans to Swansea and Berkshire, are testament to the fact that we live and breathe our company ethics, we help our clients start, scale and grow with us.”

Tom added: “The addition of John to the team is great for us as a business. His vast experience means that our clients will get the very best service, while also adding invaluable experience and knowledge to our leadership team. He is going to help us take Cadre to the next level.”

John Saunders said of his appointment: “I have known Tom for a number of years, and I am pleased to finally get the chance to work together offering ambitious businesses a complete financial solution and joining a great team. Great advice and engagement can benefit any business and I look forward to getting stuck into this new challenge!”

Cadre Advisory was established just over five years ago by Tom O’Brien and Jamie Williams, who both met while training at UHY Hacker Young. They remained friends while working at other firms but joined forces again a few years later to form Cadre (previously Lime Advisory) to help dispel the confusion around business finance and accountancy and help entrepreneurs scale and grow their companies. It offers a complete service, meaning that businesses don’t have to employ both an accountant and corporate funding expert, as they have a team that does it all.
