Banks Long & Co closes deal with Carluccio’s in Lincoln

Lincoln diners can look forward to tucking into another great eating experience as Italian company Carluccio’s prepares to serve-up more city jobs.

Today Lincoln-based chartered surveyor Banks Long & Co revealed it has been successful in attracting another major restaurant chain to the city.

Carluccio’s is the latest brand to sign-up for premises in Lincoln High Street and its arrival marks another notable achievement for the Banks Long team. In 2012 the firm closed deals with wagamama and Patisserie Valerie.

Banks Long Director Tim Bradford represented the landlord of the new restaurant – the former Lamb & Flag bar at 288/244 High Street.

“Carluccio’s is one of the best-quality Italian food restaurants in the market and is very selective when it comes to the types of towns and cities where it chooses to trade,” said Mr Bradford.

“The very fact that the company has chosen to open in Lincoln reinforces the view that the city remains one of the strongest centres in the East Midlands.”

Carluccio’s was formed in 1991 by the charismatic Italian food expert Antonio Carluccio. There are 70 restaurants open in the UK, the majority of which are located around the affluent London boroughs.

The Lincoln restaurant will be fitted out to the company’s high standards. In addition to the café and restaurant area, shoppers and diners will be able to browse and buy from an Italian delicatessen counter.

“Carluccio’s hopes to be open in early Spring and it will bring a new and exciting dining experience to the ever-improving upper High Street area of the city,” added Mr Bradford.
