William Rankine

Leading global real estate adviser Knight Frank has boosted its UK-wide valuations offering with the appointment of William Rankine.

Joining the Scotland team as an associate, William brings more than a decade’s experience in valuations, spending the last seven years as a hotels and leisure property valuer at JLL. He previously worked as a valuation surveyor at Christie & Co for more than three years.

Based in Glasgow, William will have a UK-wide remit working with Knight Frank’s national hotels and leisure team to provide an enhanced specialist valuations offering.

John Rae, head of Knight Frank Glasgow, said: “The addition of William to Knight Frank is hugely exciting for our Scottish business. He has valued a vast array of trading businesses and will bring an impressive set of skills and knowledge to our team, linking in with both our national hotels service and our existing strong valuation offering in Scotland.

“We see alternatives being a big part of our business in the future, as staycations rise in popularity and hotels in Scotland and the wider UK welcome back visitors. William’s experience and connections will open up a range of opportunities for us and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Karen Callahan, head of hotel valuations at Knight Frank, added: “William is an excellent recruit for our UK-wide hotel valuations service, with the experience he brings in Scotland and the north of England. He will provide us with greater experience on the ground in both markets, adding to our offering across the country.”
