BNP Paribas Real Estate (BNPPRE) has further strengthened its UK hotels team with three new hires. Jonathan Parrish, Senior Director of UK Hotels, James Laskowski, Associate Director of UK Hotels, and Mattia Cavenati, Associate at Pan-European Hotels.

Jonathan and James, who both began their new roles during the summer, have an incredible amount of experience and an enviable depth of sector knowledge, having previously worked for Christie & Co and Savills respectively.

Jonathan will work alongside Richard Talbot-Williams and be responsible for UK hotel investment, going concern brokerage and development advice, while also helping to further build the BNP Paribas Real Estate Hotels proposition within the UK.

James will also focus on UK hotel investment brokerage, but with a specific emphasis on the London market.

Both Jonathan and James will report to Richard, Senior Director of Alternative Markets – Hotels at BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Additionally, Mattia Cavenati, Associate, has also joined the team to focus on Pan-European hotels. Mattia, who previously worked at HVS, is supporting Artyom Perevedentsev with pan-European hotel outreach, which also includes the UK. Mattia’s role sees him reporting directly to Artyom, Associate Director for Pan-European Hotels Advisory.

The team is reinforced by dedicated hotel research support provided by Rebecca Shafran under her broader Alternative Markets research remit. Finally, with extensive experience of hotel operations Bianca Ciumacencu has joined the BNP Paribas Real Estate team of analysts and will provide valuable support to the hotels team.

Richard Talbot-Williams, Senior Director of Alternative Markets – Hotels, comments: “After the most difficult eighteen months ever for the hospitality and travel industries we are now seeing a strong bounce back in investor appetite with substantial capital readied for deployment as international travel and time away becomes a priority for consumers again.

“The addition of Jonathan, James, and Mattia will create a formidable team to support BNP PRE’s growth ambitions in the hotel sector. As activity levels increase again, in what can be a very complex market, the expertise of our team means that current and future, clients are in excellent hands.”

Jonathan Parrish adds: “This is an exciting opportunity to steer the growth of the UK hotel presence of a strong Pan-European hotel and advisory investment team as BNP Paribas Real Estate look to expand their offering to owners, operators and investors across the hotel real estate sector.”
