Danish footwear specialist ECCO has appointed leading international retail property agents Harper Dennis Hobbs to advise on expansion and acquire stores across its Danish homelands and Finland. This follows the recent corporate re-structuring where KRM (AG) will now directly operate all company stores in these markets.
The ECCO brand, was originally launched in the 70s and is now the 4th largest vertically integrated shoe manufacturer in the world.
It opened its first standalone store in Denmark in 1983 and reached the 1,000 store mark (including shop in shops and standalones) in 2002. In 2007 it also opened its first dedicated children’s footwear store.
Ecco is targeting key towns and cities in both countries and is seeking stores of 100 – 150 sq m.
