Family firm expands business in Glenrothes

A local family firm has set its sights on expansion after signing up for a larger industrial unit in Glenrothes.

MacBride Group, a leading supplier and servicer of forklift vehicles in the Fife and Tayside areas, has moved to 11A Faraday Road, a 5,000 sq ft unit at the Southfield Industrial Estate after agreeing a ten-year lease with LCP, the leading commercial property and investment company that owns and manages the estate.

The letting comes just weeks after LCP welcomed specialist coffee roastery Modern Standard Coffee to a 9,679 sq ft unit at 38 Cavendish Way, from where it plans to grow its business after having relocated to Scotland from London in 2019.

Roddy Proudfoot, associate director industrial, said the lettings are indicative of LCP’s long-term strategy of refurbishment and active management.

“MacBride Group is a successful, local family business, and I’m delighted that they have chosen to expand at Southfield Industrial Estate. Since we acquired the estate in 2018, we’ve worked hard to refurbish and reconfigure buildings to meet local demand and attract new occupiers,” he said. “We look forward to continuing our building refurbishment programme and have a range of flexible options available to meet occupier demand.”

Southfield Industrial Estate is conveniently located and offers easy access to the A92, connecting Glenrothes to the M90, Edinburgh and beyond. The estate is approximately 1.5 miles south west of Glenrothes town centre.

Neighbouring occupiers include KSW Engineering, APC Overnight, Airsoft World, Dusal, Keela International and The William Tracey Group.
