Triton wins further contract for SureStore

Triton Construction has secured a further contract with expanding self-storage company SureStore to build its ninth new facility in Ashton-under-Lyne. The £2.7 million contract includes the design and construction of a new 50,000 sq ft facility on a vacant site next to Ashton Moss retail and leisure park.

Established in 2016 by industry entrepreneurs Mike Wilson and Andy Wood, SureStore is a managed storage Group backed by Seneca Partners, that offers traditional storage and business start-up support services. SureStore operates assets for a number of Institutional investors including Seneca and Legal & General. It already has facilities in Bolton, Cannock, Northwich, Bury, Lichfield, Stafford, Wigan and Burton and has major plans to expand further with sites acquired in Southport, Stevenage, Old Trafford, Wokingham and York.

Triton has already started construction on the brownfield site off Rayner Lane to deliver a new four-storey modern facility to the same design criteria of the Wigan facility for which it delivered for SureStore last year. It is providing full design, construction and fit out services as well as external car parking, landscaping and utility connectivity.

Paul Clarkson, Managing Director at Triton Construction said, “We are pleased to secure our second contract with SureStore in the North West as it progresses its expansion in the UK. Our credentials in building storage and warehouse facilities that stand out from the ordinary are strong and we are hoping to secure more projects with SureStore with a number of other projects in discussion.”

Mike Wilson, Managing Director at SureStore said, “We were delighted with our new Wigan facility which Triton Construction completed on time and with great flexibility to allow early fit out. The team has great credentials in constructing striking buildings for operators in the self-storage industry and we look forward to working with Triton on more of our pipeline projects.”
