Firethorn grows team with three new appointments

Chris Beer, Associate Asset Manager

Firethorn Trust has brought in three new hires across leasing & asset management, new investments and finance.

The London-based commercial real estate investor and developer has announced the three appointments following a busy 2020 and a growing demand for new, high-quality, mid box logistics warehousing in the UK.

Firethorn has appointed Chris Beer as Associate Asset Manager. Chris joins from Savills in London, where he was a Surveyor in the national industrial and logistics team. In his new role, Chris will be focused on commercial leasing and asset management activities, proactively managing relationships with occupiers to help ensure that optimal values are achieved for Firethorn’s assets. Chris brings with him a strong knowledge of the UK occupier market and a great network across the agency community, both of which will benefit Firethorn’s growing presence in the sector.

Alfie Battle joins Firethorn as a Property Analyst. A First-Class graduate from Durham University, and a recent post-graduate of Reading University with a Masters in Real Estate, Alfie will be involved in preliminary financial appraisals and risk evaluations of new development and investment opportunities at Firethorn.

A graduate from the University of Leicester with a First-Class degree in Financial Economics, Sarah Noble has been appointed to the role of Assistant Financial Accountant. She joins Firethorn through the government apprenticeship programme and will be supporting the finance team, whilst developing her accounting skills and experience.

With over 126 acres of land banked last year, 2.15 million sq. ft. of new space under construction and advanced discussions underway on a strong pipeline of land purchases, the growing team is in a prime position to build on last year’s successes and accelerate growth in 2021.

Welcoming the new appointees to Firethorn, Partner Chris Webb said:

“We are delighted to have appointed Chris, Alfie and Sarah across three core elements of the business. Their addition helps add further resource to the team at an important time of growth for Firethorn. Their appointments follow a very busy year for Firethorn and we look forward to adding their new energy and enthusiasm to the team. In particular, Chris Beer will strengthen our commercial leasing expertise and bring with him excellent market knowledge.

“With these new appointments, we are in a great position to push forward with our ambitious plans to think big and do more in 2021. We have a strong team of skilled professionals whose experience and expertise combine well with our core values to be a company that colleagues love being a part of and people want to do business with.”

Speaking about his appointment, Chris Beer said: “I have been following the achievements of Firethorn for some time and I’m so pleased to be joining such a dynamic business at a key stage of its growth. I am looking forward to using my market experience to drive forward the commercial leasing side of the business and develop strategies that achieve strong value and returns for Firethorn.”
