Savills grows North East investment capability with new director in Newcastle

Savills has added to its investment team with the appointment of Peter Atkinson who joins as a director at the firm’s Newcastle office.

Peter has more than 13 years’ experience working in the property industry across several different regions including Manchester, Leeds, London and Newcastle. He joins Savills from Cushman & Wakefield where he was commercial investment lead for the North East transacting more than £0.55 billion in his seven years at the firm. As part of his role Peter worked with major institutions, regional property companies and private investors, with notable clients including M&G Real Estate, Aegon and M7 Real Estate.

At Savills Peter will work closely with the national investment division, which has established regional capital market teams across the UK, to develop a leading North East investment presence working across all asset classes. He’ll also help to grow the Newcastle office’s multi-disciplinary offer, alongside its existing management, development, land, planning and valuation capability.
