Iconic Bristol office building launches second phase with a new occupier

The second phase of an iconic office scheme in Bristol city centre has officially been launched.

HERE, formerly known as Bath Road Studios, is a business hub which provides creative office space to SME’s. Following a refurbishment of the old studios, scene-dock and a brand-new floor, phase two of the building now offers 15,000 sq ft of high quality space ranging from 1,163 sq ft to 5,200 sq ft.

Ashville is the Asset Manager at the scheme whilst Cushman & Wakefield is the retained agent.

Built in the 1960’s, the property started life as an ITV television studio and was purchased in 2015 before undergoing a £4 million refurbishment to provide circa. 70,000 sq ft of office space in total. Most recently award-winning, visual effects studio NineteenTwenty leased 1,862 sq ft of space whilst other occupiers include: ITV West Country, Ecodesk, Halo and Taxi Studio.

The property also benefits from a new enlarged reception area with green walls, collaborative working space with a Friska café, communal meeting rooms, outdoor seating, a games room, new shower block, cycle storage and a new fitness studio due to open for tenants in January 2021.

Seonaid Butler, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Office agency team, said: “HERE has developed a reputation for quality workspace and generous communal areas as well as offering a vibrant and collaborative business environment. Ashville has created a welcoming community for the tenants enabling them to grow within the building and provide their employees with high quality facilities on site.”

Several adaptations have been implemented to offer a COVID secure environment within the building including, phone app access for access control doors, non-touch hand wave buttons on exit doors, foot operated hand saintisers around the building and medical grade air scrubbers in the meeting rooms and common areas as well as and socially distanced common areas.
