The Boutique Workplace Company signs agreement to expand its network

The Boutique Workplace Company is to open two new flexible workspace offerings in Kingston-upon-Thames and Wantage in south Oxfordshire after signing a partnership agreement with a private landlord.

The management agreement is part of a long-term strategy by the serviced office specialist to sign new buildings and take a share of the profit with other landlords in key London locations as well as regional sites following the recent shift of occupiers relocating closer to home.

Daniel Wheble, Chief Executive Officer of The Boutique Workplace Company commented: “As a business we aspire to lead the way for flexible working and private office solutions. In a world where flexible work patterns are increasingly becoming the norm, we are keen to look for synergies with landlords whose schemes would benefit from serviced office space, but they themselves don’t perhaps have the experience or scale of businesses to operate one. We have a ready-made stand out, design led model and brand, which is far more than just four walls. This is a joint approach from which both parties will benefit.”

The Kingston-upon-Thames workplace is set to open early Spring 2021 and will offer 230 workstations, within 13,500 sq ft at ground and part first floor level of the recently developed 40,000 sq ft “The Smith” building. This is also a unique proposition for the leading provider because they have a mandate to source occupiers on short-term leases or managed deals on the remaining 25,000 sq ft of the property.

The Boutique Workplace Company is also taking over the management of Boston House Business Centre at Grove Business Park in Wantage to the south west of Oxford. The property has undergone a £2.5 million refurbishment and benefits from 280 desks, co-working space, meeting rooms, a business hub, tranquil courtyard garden and free car parking.

Boutique currently operates 30 workplaces across London which includes their newest location opening this month at 12-18 Theobalds Road in London’s Midtown. Once again this is a JV arrangement with a prominent landlord in the capital.

The Kingston owner was advised by industry experts Will Kinnear and Douglas Green.
