Jobson James Insurance Brokers move to 30 St Paul’s Square

Leading independent insurance broker Jobson James has relocated to the iconic 30 St Paul’s Square, in a move which will allow the business to double in size over the next 3 years. The company has taken 5,000 square feet of office space in the development which combines the aesthetics of a highly contemporary building, within the context of the historic Jewellery Quarter setting. Managed by CBRE Global Investors, 30 St Paul’s Square has been comprehensively refurbished in recent months, and this investment is attracting renewed interest particularly within the professional services sector and the creative industries.

Martin James, Managing Director and one of the original founders of Jobson James Insurance Brokers, sees the move as pivotal to the company’s ambitious growth plans:

“Since relaunching Jobson James Insurance Brokers in 2010, we have made significant inroads into the Midlands’ insurance market, and our projections are for 100% growth by 2016. The existing Edgbaston premises were no longer able to accommodate our business model and the team is delighted to have secured such a distinctive new business setting. Our client base spans corporate, health and wellbeing and private client markets, and this new office location will give us superb access to customers.”

Ben Thacker of GBR Phoenix Beard representing Jobson James Insurance Brokers said: “Jobson James Insurance Brokers were very clear from the outset about the benefits of operating in a central location, and there will clearly be opportunities for business reciprocity from working in this area. 30 Paul’s Square sets a high standard for office accommodation and the fit with Jobson James’ aspirations is perfect. St Paul’s Square has always been a popular choice for professional and financial services companies, offering competitive rental levels, good amenities, strong links to public transport and good provision for parking, which isn’t always available elsewhere.”

Alex Tross, representing CBRE Global Investors and an Associate Director at Colliers in Birmingham, said:
“30 St Paul’s Square offers some of the best office space in the jewellery quarter and indeed the city. Landlords CBREGI have invested in an extensive programme to update the development, which epitomises urban chic. Particular attention has been paid to energy efficiency, as well as lighting, heating and cooling systems, all of which are taking higher priority than previously with occupiers. Office suites are sub metered and so occupiers have absolute control over this aspect of their property costs. With around 14,000 square feet of office space remaining and suites available from 2,000 sq ft, we look forward to hearing from other organisations who may be considering their next move within the Midlands.”
