TCS completes renovation of historic Carvers Warehouse in Manchester’s Piccadilly Basin

Leeds-based property investor and car parking operator, Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS), has completed the renovation of the historic Carvers Warehouse on Dale Street in Manchester’s Piccadilly Basin. The sensitive refurbishment has repurposed the space into a property hub with the top floor circa 2,200 sq ft office suite now complete.

Over the last year, TCS has extensively refurbished the Grade II listed stone building, one of Manchester’s oldest surviving warehouses, to respond to the evolving needs of its existing tenant base and future modern occupiers. The original transformation of the warehouse into an office destination was delivered more than a decade ago.

Already home to a thriving variety of tenants from the property, tech and fashion sectors, the renovation of the 22,000 sq ft 4-storey canal side office building now delivers enhanced prime office space, including break out areas, shared workspace, cycle storage, shower facilities and an on-site café/deli, as well as communal areas with meeting pods.

Chris Collins, Associate Director for TCS said:

“We are delighted to complete the comprehensive refurbishment programme at Carvers Warehouse, which forms part of our strategic plans for the regeneration of our wider Piccadilly Basin development.

“We are fortunate to have an incredibly loyal tenant base in the building and it’s fantastic to be able to deliver improved space to support our growing community. We are proud to market the available space to forward-thinking businesses looking for first class office accommodation in the heart of Manchester’s Piccadilly Basin situated on the fringe of the vibrant Northern Quarter.”

Dave Evans, Director of The Harris Partnership, existing tenants at the property said,

“Carvers Warehouse has been our Manchester home for over 10 years and affords the business a prime office location within close proximity to the rail networks for both clients and consultants travelling to the office from around the UK. The redevelopment and refurbishment of the atrium provides a welcoming environment for visitors to the office including the additional break-out space where we can utilise the new meeting pods.”
