LSH in pole position

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has raced into pole position after being appointed to manage the new Jordan Technology Park, near the Northamptonshire home of British motorsport.

The national commercial property consultancy is also marketing the 15 unit development – named after the BBC’s Formula One analyst Eddie Jordan – which was completed in June.

Today it announced it had secured its first tenants at the Towcester site, situated just off the A43 and opposite the entrance to the world famous Silverstone circuit in the heart of the UK’s Motorsport Valley. A motorsport company has taken an occupational lease on the 11,291 sq ft unit 15.

Two further tenants are also expected to move into units imminently, while four more units are under negotiation for rental or ownership. Confidence is high that the technology park will be fully occupied well in advance of expectations.

The 15 units are purpose built, high quality, finished to a Grade A specification, with mezzanine floors. They are built from steel portal frames with steel profile cladding and offer a range in size from 4,908 sq ft to 7,815 sq ft. Each has allocated car parking, yard space and loading areas.

Jordan Technology Park is expected to bring hundreds of high tech jobs to the region, attracting motor sport research and development, and high powered engineering firms who will benefit from the convenient location close to J15A of the M1 and J10 of the M40.

Ben Steer, senior surveyor in LSH’s commercial property management team, said: “Jordan Technology Park offers a unique opportunity for high tech engineering firms to locate at Silverstone in the premier location for the motorsport industry. It is the ideal home for ambitious companies, putting them in pole position to take advantage of the business opportunities presented right on their doorstep.

He added: “Following our success in being appointed to market the business park, I can now confirm we have also been instructed to manage this new development. LSH has vast experience in managing multi-tenanted sites and we are looking forward to delivering a high quality service to Jordan Technology Park and its future tenants.”
