Carter Jonas enhances national Valuation team with two senior hires

National property consultancy Carter Jonas has made two senior hires to its national Commercial Valuation team.

Abby Pugh joins the firm as a Partner from Colliers International where she was a director and held the role of head of its south west valuation team. She will be based out of Carter Jonas’s Bristol office. With nearly 20 years’ experience, including roles at DTZ, Pugh’s appointment strengthens the firm’s mixed-use valuation capabilities. She will concentrate on growing Carter Jonas’s business in the region, with a particular focus on the commercial loan security valuation market, whilst forging stronger ties with private and public sector clients.

John Martin is appointed as a Partner in London, based out of Carter Jonas’s headquarters, One Chapel Place. He joined Cluttons LLP as a graduate surveyor in 2002, becoming a Partner in 2008. Having spent 17 years at the firm, he then moved to Lamberts. Martin has previously been responsible for a diverse range of valuation services for estate clients and at Carter Jonas, he will work with investors, housing associations and banks whilst building upon existing and new market opportunities.

Dudley Holme-Turner, Head of Valuations, Carter Jonas said: “These key strategic hires will support our aim to provide expert consultancy advice across a range of sectors, throughout the markets in which we operate, and both bring a wealth of complementary experience to the team. Our south west business has grown from strength-to-strength in recent years and Abby’s deep-rooted understanding of the region and its network will be invaluable as we continue to advise and assist its active property market.

“The current circumstances in which we are working will likely translate into additional demand for a variety of specialist valuation services, and an opportunity for our team to assist further, new and existing clients. John’s knowledge of the residential sector will be invaluable, as we look to grow our enfranchisement valuation work and expert evidence offering.”
