The landmark Pall Mall Gardens project in Liverpool is moving forward with momentum with the project recently reaching completion of the refreshed RIBA Stage 3 design and will soon be commencing the final RIBA Stage 4 process.
The move marks a significant step in bringing forward the first phase of the development, which will deliver over 100,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation (NIA) alongside ground floor retail units. As part of the Stage 3 design refresh, One Pall Mall Gardens has been redesigned to meet the expectations of today’s occupiers and now provides significant ground floor building amenity, including flexible work areas, a business lounge, meeting rooms and leisure facilities.
In addition, the building benefits from and a newly redesigned communal roof terrace. This stunning new feature will sit at level eight, providing a flexible indoor / outdoor space that enhances the offer for future occupiers. This first phase will deliver pall Mall Gardens, a significant new green space and a central key feature of the development for the business community and residents.
One Pall Mall Gardens will be the most sustainable office building in Liverpool’s CBD. As a Net Zero Carbon enabled building, the scheme has been developed to ensure long-term operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness for future occupiers, aligning with modern sustainability expectations while supporting Liverpool’s wider climate ambitions.
One Pall Mall Gardens will be the first new-build Grade A office development in the city for more than 15 years, reinforcing the city’s position as a competitive regional business destination and responding to pent-up demand for high-quality business space.
The project is being delivered in partnership with Liverpool City Council, supported by grant funding, underlining the Council’s commitment to unlocking strategically important regeneration and driving economic growth in the city centre. Pall Mall Liverpool is widely recognised as a catalyst project for Liverpool’s growth, playing a critical role in the expansion of the city’s Commercial Business District (CBD).
Located on a 1.2-hectare site behind the former Exchange Station, the wider Pall Mall masterplan represents a long-term investment in Liverpool’s future.
Over its phased delivery, the scheme will provide up to 400,000 sq ft of new Grade A office space, supported by ground floor retail and leisure uses, creating a vibrant new business neighbourhood and high-quality public realm and green space within the CBD.
