New Paisley Park industrial units proving popular in Merthyr Tydfil

A quarter of the new industrial units being constructed at Paisley Park on the Pant Industrial Estate in Merthyr Tydfil have already been let.

Local property developer MKR Property Developments is constructing 14 new-build trade counter or warehouse units ranging in size from 905 sq ft to 3,811 sq ft. The scheme offers a range of detached, semi-detached and terraced industrial units and are available for immediate occupation.

Mike Williams, company director at MKR, said: “Welsh Government and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council’s regeneration team both identified the benefits of developing the brownfield site to deliver modern facilities to growing local businesses.”

MKR has appointed property consultancy Knight Frank to market the new units and Kate Maffey from Knight Frank’s Logistics & Industrial division in Cardiff, said: “Four of the units have already been let with a further one currently under offer, which shows the need for modern facilities for enterprise and start-up businesses in a sought-after industrial location.”

The development is situated on Pant Industrial Estate, a prime industrial and trade counter location within Merthyr Tydfil which has convenient access to the adjacent A465 Heads of the Valleys Road, which has recently reopened, and the A470.

Kate added: “Surrounding occupiers on the estate include Howdens, Robert Price Building Merchants, Stagecoach, Magnet Kitchens and Greggs.”
