Biotech operator commits to Portishead office scheme

Acting on behalf of a private landlord client, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has completed a 4,665 sq ft letting to Nexus Bioquest at 10 Portis Fields, Portishead, Bristol. The life sciences operator has taken a 10-year lease at £15.50 per sq ft.

Nexus Bioquest, a preclinical contract research organisation specialising in immunology will use the space as a mix of office and bespoke lab space. A deal was done to secure a new lease on the ground and first floor of the building, while simultaneously surrendering an existing lease of the ground floor suite.

Roxine Foster, associate director at LSH, said: “This is an example of a genuine collaboration between landlord and tenant that has resulted in the best possible outcome for both parties. The landlord has succeeded in attracting a valued occupier while the tenant has found a property which can meet the needs of their unique requirement.”
