Leading construction consultancy Edmond Shipway has appointed two new associate directors within its Nottingham office, as part of its ongoing growth and success.
Longstanding members of the team, Martin Farmer and Tom Mallory both take on the new roles and will work with the senior team to drive the growth of the business.
Martin has been part of the Nottingham office since 2006 and has created strong direct relationships with key clients such as The Priory Group, Ashall Properties, Elysium Healthcare and more recently Moto Hospitality.
Tom joined in 2016 and has developed an impressive working relationship with Center Parcs UK as well as providing monitoring services to real estate investors Aroundtown for the major refurbishment of a number of Center Parcs Europe villages.
Martin said: “I’m delighted to take on the role of associate director. After 16 years with the firm, it’s been great to see the progress for not only myself, but also for the company, with our turnover already 11% up on pre pandemic levels.
Tom said: “It’s brilliant to have been offered this step up as I move into my seventh year with Edmond Shipway. To go through the challenges of the last two years and come out the other side with so much success and ambition makes me very excited to see what this year and the future holds.”
During the past two years, the company has focussed on key strategic sectors and has seen significant growth in their e commerce and logistics, residential, retirement living and Infrastructure support services work as well as developing their Construction Management service, with their flagship £30m Victoria Street Westminster office refurbishment now on site. In addition they are acting as Development and Project Managers on Center Parcs’ proposed new £400 million sixth UK village near Crawley, West Sussex as well as the €90 million expansion of the Longford village in the Republic of Ireland.
David Stevenson, managing director at Edmond Shipway, said: “It gives me great pleasure to see both Martin and Tom becoming associate directors, reflecting our long-term strategy as a business to promote from within.
“In addition to their excellent work in developing their client accounts both have made a significant contribution to the effective management of the Nottingham office over the past year. Their hard work, commitment and dedication to the business has been outstanding. I’m delighted to welcome them to the management team and look forward to working with them in driving our continued success.
