Fleet maintenance company moves to Moy Road Industrial Estate, Taffs Well

National vehicle fleet management and maintenance specialist Rivus Fleet Solutions is moving its Cardiff service centre to the Moy Road Industrial Estate at Taffs Well, Cardiff.

The company was formerly the in-house fleet management division of BT and was acquired by Rivus’ parent company Aurelius in 2019. It now maintains more than 85,000 vehicles for companies including BT, the Post Office, the AA and Autoglass.

It has moved from a BT site in north Cardiff to Moy Road Industrial Estate, where it has taken a five year lease on the 14,900 sq ft Unit 15c. Landlord Rombourne was advised in the transaction by letting agents Knight Frank and DLP Surveyors.

Rombourne is a Cardiff-based specialist provider of serviced business accommodation across Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and Swindon. It has invested more than £500,000 in the industrial estate in recent years to create a range of modern workshops, offices, industrial units and self-storage accommodation.

Steve Myers, estates manager at Rombourne, said: “Unit 15c was formerly occupied by South Wales Police Force and is fully fitted out for commercial vehicle maintenance operations, including vehicle lifts and air compressors.”

Geoff Allison, garage services director of Rivus Fleet Solutions commented: “’The landlord carried out various modifications and improvements to the property to make it completely suitable for our needs. Everything was carried out on time and in fact the landlord exceeded our own expectations.”

Michael Bruce of DLP Surveyors, said: “The Moy Road unit was perfect for Rivus’ requirements with its specification, and its location close to Junction 32 of the M4 motorway.”

Neil Francis, partner in the Logistics and Industrial team at Knight Frank in Cardiff, added: “Rombourne’s investment in upgrading Moy Road has created flexible, affordable accommodation that has attracted a good mix of local and national tenants. With the final unit currently under offer we hope to announce a further letting in the coming months. This will result in the estate being fully let and is just reward for our client’s proactive approach to securing occupiers.”
