The appointment of Ben Cronan to the Rating team in the Bristol office of Colliers International has highlighted the benefits of the annual sandwich student scheme.

He has joined after graduating from the University of the West of England with a First-Class BSc (Hons) Real Estate degree, a part of which he spent as a sandwich year in the Bristol office of Colliers International.

Head of office Tim Davies said: “Ben is the latest sandwich student who has gone on to join us in a permanent position, and his appointment serves to highlight the benefits of the placement scheme offered at UWE to students studying property degrees.

“In recent years we have taken on a number of UWE property students after seeing their potential when they worked with us during their sandwich year.

“In the case of Tom Watkins, who did a placement with us in 2012 while studying a BSc Hons in Business in Property and joined the team after graduating, we’ve witnessed a career trajectory in which he is now associate director and is now leading our Industrial & Logistics team in the South West.”

The latest UWE sandwich student to join the Bristol office of Colliers International is Markus Grun, who is studying BSc Real Estate and is presently working in the Industrial & Logistics team.
