FG Burnett’s Industial Team Making Their Mark

The strong performance of FG Burnett’s industrial team in the past year has been highlighted in the CoStar Agency Awards.

FG Burnett’s Glasgow team, led by associate Ross Sinclair, was ranked in the top five agencies for both the Availability of Stock and Disposals categories.

The company jumped up seven places to the number five slot for Availability (1.607 million sq ft) and was rated the fourth best performing agency for Disposals (716,000 sq ft). It was also ranked seventh in the Number of Instructions listing with 82 instructions.

The statistics related only to FG Burnett’s business in Glasgow and central Scotland regions and do not include transactions involving its Aberdeen office.

The awards are compiled from research and data collated on Scotland’s leading commercial property agencies. CoStar is a world leader in providing information for commercial real estate professionals, including agents, owners, surveyors, developers, investors and lenders.

Ross Sinclair said the figures reflected an upsurge in key instructions and business wins, including MEPC’s Hillington Park, Hermes’ Anniesland Business Park and a number of instructions for MSeven, Buccleuch and Speed Hire.

Additions to the industrial agency team include the appointment of senior surveyor Michael McDowall, who has a strong reputation within Scotland’s industrial market having worked in Glasgow for five years, and it is anticipated the firm’s performance will continue to improve as a direct result.

Ross Sinclair said: “The rankings reflect a number of key mandates and business
changes we have made to the Central Scotland team and the combined effort to deliver a quality service on behalf of clients.

“It is all a sign that we are moving in the right direction and we are determined to continue to improve upon our market share as this translates to successful outcomes for our clients. We have enjoyed significant increases in stock levels and transactional activity and Michael’s arrival has opened several new business channels with additional work in progress and more in the pipeline.”
