Argent welcomes Global Radio to Eleven Brindleyplace

Global Radio, home to some of the UK’s leading commercial radio brands such as Heart, Capital, Classic FM, Xfm, LBC, Choice and Gold, will be moving to new offices in Eleven Brindleyplace from Spring 2013, in a let secured by property developer Argent.

Operating Heart and Capital in the West Midlands, Global will take the complete eighth floor (8,555 sqft) on a 10 year lease to accommodate both offices and broadcast studios.

Anita Wright, Regional Managing Director, Global Radio, said: “ We’re delighted to be moving into Eleven Brindleyplace. As the building was voted the UK’s best commercial workplace by The British Council for Offices – we couldn’t think of a better venue to house both Heart and Capital. It provides us with a workspace that’s fit for the future and keeps our stations right in the heart of the West Midlands.”

Eleven Brindleyplace features a number of innovations, including the building’s Meetingspace, which offers state-of-the-art internally-managed meeting room facilities, including a stylish business lounge, which is open to use by all building tenants.

James Heather, Partner at Argent, said: “The deal with Global Radio adds yet another string to our bow and demonstrates just how flexible Eleven Brindleyplace really is, with a diverse range of occupiers operating in a range of sectors.

“We are confident that Global Radio will enjoy immediate benefits from its move to Eleven Brindleyplace. Alongside the advantage of bringing together the whole team on one floor – which always has a positive impact on morale and productivity – there are also the added commercial benefits of the functionality and energy efficiency that can be offered from a modern, new-build building such as this.

“Eleven Brindleyplace is still the only new-build BREEAM Excellent building in Birmingham to offer Grade A space from 2,600 sq ft, perfect for occupiers with smaller floorplates in mind, and with our current diverse mix of occupiers demonstrates, we really can offer something for everyone.”

Global Radio will be joining existing occupiers including Capita Symonds, Friend LLP, Robert Walters, the West Midlands headquarters of the Institute of Directors, Hettle Andrews, Argent and Colliers International at Eleven Brindleyplace, which is located opposite the recently rebranded Hilton Garden Inn on the Brindleyplace estate.

Argent was advised on the letting by GVA and GBR Phoenix Beard.
