Senior Planner or Associate (Birmingham)

Are you an MRTPI Town Planner operating at either Senior Planner or Associate level in Birmingham? Do you want to work for one of the leading planning practices in the country? We are representing one of our key clients in their search for a Senior or Associate to expand their Birmingham planning team. This is a well known multi-disciplinary practice with a strong reputation nationally as well as in the Birmingham/Midlands region.

You will be working with a very established client base and well-connected Directors who work on schemes within the residential, mixed-use, commercial and office/industrial sectors. This firm are excellent at their marketing/brand awareness, so you will have a very strong name behind you when you are pitching for work and representing clients.

We are looking for MRTPI qualified candidates who have experience of working within the Midlands planning market. You will ideally have consultancy experience, but this may be over-looked for the senior planner post. The portfolio is varied so a varied track record of project experience is also advantageous, but specialists will also be considered. Your role will include pre-app advice, feasibility work, site promotion, preparing and submitting planning applications, S106 negotiations, appeal work, liaising with and coordinating internal and external project teams,

At the senior planner level, you should be confident in running small-medium sized projects and assisting on larger schemes with view to running them at Associate level. All candidates should thrive in a fee earning environment and enjoy networking, building and maintaining strong client relationships and be able to work well to deadlines. Associates should be able to demonstrate business development experience and enjoy this side to their role.
