Would you like to make the move to work for a private family property company? We are looking to recruit a Head of Estates as part of succession planning as the Owner/Directors of the business withdraw from daily management of the portfolio and operation.

This is therefore a unique and exciting opportunity for a talented senior property professional, with a broad range of property skills and knowledge, to join and lead a small and friendly team in a beautiful location in West Yorkshire with responsibility for a portfolio of admired assets.

With a sizeable portfolio of 50+ assets, close to the Pennine Way, the properties combine a mix of office, industrial, retail and residential and this is an interesting and vibrant portfolio.

You will have daily interaction with occupiers/tenants and the small internal property and admin team. You will deal with rent reviews, lease renewals and rating appeals; negotiating lease terms with prospective tenants; undertaking property inspections; monitoring repairs and maintenance; co-ordinating contractors; carrying out rental valuations and marketing vacant premises. Candidates will have a good knowledge of asbestos, CDM 2015, the L&T Act and broader property regulations. It is not essential for candidates to be MRICS but this could be beneficial.

A further focus on the role will be to expand the portfolio and you will source suitable new assets to acquire, undertaking necessary due diligence and guiding the process, working with agents and closely with the owners to meet their strategic aims.

Candidates may come from either a client-side or private practice environment and be happy working for a family concern and take responsibility for running what it seen as a large property concern in this region.
