Planning Director – Leeds

Beach Baker has recently been given instruction for an exciting opportunity with a Consultancy for a Planning Director for their Leeds offices.

With an excellent reputation both locally and across their national offices as well as an excellent client base covering a broad range of projects. You will be joining this established Leeds office and operate primarily across the North East and Yorkshire territories, occasionally working with other offices on national projects.

As part of their aggressive growth plan the firm are looking to take on experienced planners who have experience operating at the director level to lead the office in developing and expanding the team in Leeds. You will be operating across a broad spectrum of developments that include, residential, commercial. Retail, education, infrastructure, and mixed use schemes. You should be fully MRTPI or RICS (P&D) qualified with excellent knowledge of the North East and Yorkshire region as well as having strong local contacts you can draw upon. Private sector experience within a consultancy preferred and a strong client/contact base to work on would put you at a distinct advantage. The ability to win new business and develop existing is a must as is showing leadership qualities and commercial acumen for the role. Business and finance management and people management experience is also advantageous.
