A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s leading planning consultancies. We are looking to appoint a chartered Town Planner currently operating at either Associate or Director level to be based in the firm’s Leeds office. This role has arisen due to the continued success of the team and is part of a structured expansion plan, it’s a great time to join the business. The office is based in Leeds city centre and you’ll be joining a well-established team of professional planners in a really friendly and supportive office environment.

The team currently offer the full spectrum of planning services from initial site appraisal and strategic advice through to application submittals and follow up work. They have a very impressive client base of public and private sector organisations including leading commercial and residential developers, prestigious housebuilders, retail and leisure corporations, land owners and private estates and government institutions. As a subsequence, the workload is very varied. As part of the expansion plan they are looking to add to the business, we are therefore looking for candidates who are particularly well connected in the Leeds/Yorkshire markets (contacts/experience in the North West and Midlands markets are also advantageous as the Leeds office cover these regions as well).

We are looking for MRTPI qualified candidates, strong private sector backgrounds, commercial acumen and proven business winners. You are likely to be operating at Associate or Director level for a local/national consultancy. You should enjoy networking and have a good track record of successful client relationships, lead building and mentoring/leading junior members of staff. In terms of project backgrounds/experience, we welcome interest from generalists as well as specialists in any of the following markets; residential, mixed-use, commercial, retail, strategic. Experience in environmental planning is also of interest but this will ideally be complimented by other project areas.

There are excellent progression opportunities with this role, this firm are great with promotions, forward-thinking and are not bogged down by a large corporate board as they are independently owned. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, incentivised bonus scheme and uncapped potential for progression.

By clicking apply, please be assured that your CV will not be sent to the client until you have been fully briefed on the role and given permission for us to do so. We will confidentially retain your details and inform you of any other suitable opportunities arising should you not be successful in this role.
