Planner/Senior Planner (Cardiff)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a chartered town planner to join one of the leading planning teams in Cardiff. You will be joining a key name in the industry boasting a very well-established team working on some of the most exciting projects in the city. You will be working in a busy, modern and open plan office alongside other planning related and property disciplines.

We are looking for candidates who are MRTPI qualified and who have planning consultancy experience. We can consider strong planners or an existing senior planner. You will ideally be working within the Cardiff/South Wales planning market already or have done previously to have experience of the Welsh planning system. That said, the team also work on some schemes outside of Wales so relocators may be considered if your experience is right. Projects include city centre regeneration schemes, commercial developments, sport/leisure, retail/mixed-use and residential projects. They also have clients in the public sector so can offer a varied and exciting portfolio of work with many of the city’s high profile schemes. Your role will include; site visits, site appraisals, feasibility studies, writing planning statements, preparing and submitting planning applications, S106 negotiations, liaising with professional bodies and specialist consultants, assisting with any appeals, client liaison whilst providing the high level of expert town planning advice and consultancy service expected from this team.

We are looking for candidates who have a good range of project experience to be able to cope with the fast-paced environment and varied portfolio. You should be confident in client facing situations and in your presentation skills, you should enjoy networking and a busy team environment. The team regular go to industry events and really encourage CPD and career progression.
