A leading property consultancy have instructed Beach Baker to recruit either a Graduate General Practice Surveyor, or RICS qualified Rating Surveyor to join the growing a Business Rates team based in Cardiff.
The Role
Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to provide first class rating advice and client management skills combined with the ability to take an active role in negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency. This role focusses across all property types and business sectors providing a wide range of rating appeal work.
The role will suit either a graduate with some APC experience, ideally 12 months, or RICS qualified surveyor who is willing to understand the complexities of Rating surveying and negotiation. The successful candidate will be expected to service existing clients across the portfolio of cases and advise clients on all rating matters whilst being alert to other fee earning opportunities for the firm.
The successful candidate will be expected to be team player with the ability to operate without close supervision at times and to act on his/her own initiative in a competitive business environment.

Skills /Qualifications Required:
- RICS accredited degree + 12 months APC experience, or member of RICS
- Graduate General Practice surveying experience and willing to move into the exciting world of Rating!
- Excellent communication, adaptable team player and efficient.
- Good attention to detail, sense of humour and commercially minded.
