Associate Director – Planning (London)

A leading planning consultancy in London is seeking an Associate Director to join their expanding planning team within their London office. You will be joining an award winning practice with a national network of offices and excellent reputation within the planning industry.

You will be dealing with a long established client base consisting of prestigious housebuilders, private developers, land owners, commercial corporates and public sector bodies. The project work will be varied including residential, mixed-use and commercial work. As an Associate Director you will lead on developments (including large scale schemes), mentoring junior staff who are assisting you as well as developing your own contacts and those of the firm. You will regularly be winning new business and maintaining existing relationships.

We are seeking MRTPI candidates with good consultancy experience, ideally from the London/South East market. A similar variety in project experience to the above is preferable but we can also consider specialists. Responsibilities include; planning applications and appeals; site appraisals; planning strategies; S106 negotiations; development plan representations and providing advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process. You should have proven experience in business development and be able to demonstrate your ability to operate in a commercial business environment.
