(L-R): Martin Beaumont, Lisa Deering, Paul Hutt, Lyndon Glancy, Patrick Nicholls, John White, Simon Jesson and Adam McPartland from Glancy Nicholls Architects.

Birmingham based architecture practice, Glancy Nicholls Architects (GNA), has made five senior promotions following a sustained period of growth.

Martin Beaumont, Lisa Deering, Simon Jesson and Adam McPartland have been promoted to Equity Directors, joining founders Lyndon Glancy and Patrick Nicholls, along with Paul Hutt and John White, on the Board of Directors. Rounding off the senior promotions, Adam Rowlands has been promoted to Financial Director.

As part of their new role, each Equity Director will be responsible for helping to maintain and strengthen GNA’s position as a leading architectural practice whilst supporting the company’s growth ambitions across specific sectors.

Lyndon Glancy, who set up GNA with Patrick Nicholls 15 years ago, said: “The past 12 months alone has seen GNA appointed on some very exciting and high-profile projects across the Midlands, including 211 Broad Street, the UK’s first habitable super-slender tower and working on the inner city regeneration of Perry Barr.

“We are now moving into our next chapter of growth as we take on more projects both locally and across the UK. Welcoming five more talented individuals onto our Board of Directors is central to this growth. Each one brings a strong skill set that we have long-valued at GNA and will help shape the future of the company.”

GNA specialises in delivering high quality design and architecture across numerous sectors including social care, education, residential and logistics.

Lyndon continued: “Martin, Lisa, Simon and Adam have developed real specialisms in specific sectors. Their hard work, along with other members of the team, has meant that we are now leading the way in providing exceptional design for retirement living, elderly care and specialist dementia care, as well as delivering multiple higher education buildings and helping to re-shape city living through our understanding of Build to Rent schemes and the Private Rented Sector.”

GNA has already received 12 awards for its residential care work, focussing on the elderly and dementia care, including the prestigious RIBA MacEwen award. Additionally, GNA has much experience in the education sector and is one of the preferred architects for the University of Birmingham’s Build Higher Framework, working with them on numerous projects.

GNA is also behind the designs for many of the new high-rise buildings in the city, including 100 Broad Street and One Eastside which, at 51 storeys, will be one of Birmingham’s tallest buildings.
