GVA raises over £3,000 in charity abseil

A team from the Midlands office of independent property experts GVA have thrown themselves into the fundraising spirit, abseiling down their own office building.

The intrepid 24-strong team braved the dizzying heights of Three Brindleyplace, as part of a fund-raising initiative launched by the Brindleyplace estate team, to raise £3000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The total raised by the GVA team – including one member who undertook the 100ft abseil dressed as a Telly Tubby – was boosted through a contribution from GVA’s National Charity Campaign, which donated an additional £600.

Kate Inskip, regional marketing coordinator, GVA, who organised the team, said: “Acorns is a local charity that does some exceptional work and it is a real pleasure to be able to raise this amount of money to support them.

”I know that all of the team have been dedicated to raising as much money as they can and without their support we definitely wouldn’t have been able to raise this much.”

Acorns provides care and support to over 630 children and 880 families. There is no charge to use the services but it costs £750 per child per day.
