Work starts on new showroom for Southampton Volvo retailer

Work has started on a brand new showroom for local Volvo retailer, Snows Southampton.

The new, £3million, seven-car premises is situated next to Snows’ former Volvo showroom in Second Avenue, and is scheduled for completion in November 2020.

Designed around the needs of customers, the showroom will boast a signature lounge area complete with Scandinavian furniture, free Wi-Fi and coffee.

The building, which has already resulted in five new jobs, will also feature large, exterior and interior glazing to allow customers to view the new workshop from the comfort of the lounge.

The new workshop will feature the very latest equipment, allowing the technicians to offer Volvo customers the highest standards in service and maintenance.

The technicians will also be part of a 12-month training programme for Volvo Personal Service.

Snows operates 49 dealerships from 29 locations across southern England.

The family-owned company is the AM100 2019’s 46th-placed franchise retail group by turnover – with revenues of £370m achieved in 2018.

During the construction of the new site, the current showroom on Second Avenue will remain fully operational and will continue to offer the full range of new and used Volvo vehicles, and assist customers with their servicing requirements.
