Realm attracts leading lifestyle brands to Livingston Designer Outlet

Realm, the specialist asset manager, has signed four premium lifestyle brands at Livingston Designer Outlet, Scotland’s largest and most high profile outlet scheme.

Osprey London, Molton Brown, Portmeirion and Hotter are set to join the scheme this year, taking a combined 6,257 sq ft. They join other premium brands at the scheme, which include Reiss, GUESS and Under Armour:

  • British luxury leather company Osprey London will take a 1,500 sq ft unit on a 5 year lease, at what will also be its first outlet location in Scotland.
  • World famous pottery brand Portmeirion will take a 1,416 sq ft unit in the scheme on a 5 year lease – its first outlet store in Scotland.
  • Hotter, the UK footwear company, will be located in a 1,737 sq ft unit on a 5-year lease.
  • Molton Brown will bring its range of fragrant products to a 1,600 sq ft unit at what will be its second Scottish outlet location.

Christine Grace, Leasing Director at Realm, added: “These signings further cement Livingston’s reputation as the premium outlet retail destination in Scotland and demonstrate our ongoing proactive enhancement of the premium tenant mix at the scheme.

“We are continuing to respond to the increased demand from brands for high-quality outlet space – a trend that shows no sign of slowing down – and from our customers to bring in the names that they love to shop into this outlet format. We are happy to be able to support retailers as they expand their outlet offering in this popular scheme – in Portmeirion and Osprey London’s case their first in Scotland.”

A £7 million customer journey project carried out by Realm has cemented the scheme’s popularity with both shoppers and retailers, with these lettings being further testament to the scheme’s attraction as a retail destination. Realm’s ongoing proactive asset management strategy and effective turnover leasing model guides the scheme’s ongoing success, through targeting popular brands and supporting them in the outlet format, using real-time sales data.

Alexandra Ellisdon, Chief Operating Officer, Osprey London, said: “Our brand has long had a loyal customer base in Scotland and so we’re delighted to be opening our first solus Scottish store in Livingston Designer Outlet this Autumn. We believe the Centre is the perfect place in which to showcase our men’s and women’s leather goods & gifts collections for the discerning style-conscious shopper. Covering 1,500 sq ft, the store opens just in time for gift buyers to enjoy up to 60% off our brand’s eponymous gift collections as well as a range of handcrafted leather bags, scarves and our popular home fragrance.”
