CBRE Manchester wins at UK Property Awards

One St Peter’s Square

The creative fit out work on the One St Peter’s Square office development in Manchester by CBRE’s National Building Consultancy team, together with architects tp bennett, has been recognised with a prestigious UK Property Award. The fit out project picked up the award in the North West category for Office Interior Design.

One St Peter’s Square, which is home to more than 130 members of staff at CBRE Manchester, is a high quality, Grade A commercial building with a BREEAM Excellent rating.

CBRE and tp bennett have since developed a design-led, inspiring work environment which increases user and visitor capacity with a focus on quality and wellbeing. Task based zones including concentrated workspace, team collaboration areas and a quiet study zone are just some of the new features, with the southern staff entrance now offering a boutique, coffee shop style welcome which complements the stylish reception and client business lounge, with breath-taking views over St Peter’s Square.

The level of the award (5* or award winner) will be announced at the official presentation to be held on 25th October 2019 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel London. If the team receive a 5* win, their entry will be put forward for Global judging.

The UK Property Awards are judged by an independent panel of 80 industry experts and focus on design, quality, service, innovation, originality and commitment to sustainability. The Awards, in their 26th year, are the largest, most prestigious and are widely recognised across the world.

Oliver Thomas, Senior Director, CBRE Manchester’s National Building Consultancy team, commented;

“We are delighted to be recognised for our work on our own office, at One St Peter’s Square in this year’s UK Property Awards. This is a much-coveted award and a great team achievement. It really is testament to the quality of the design and delivery of what continues to be a great workplace.

“We rarely get the opportunity to practice what we preach, so we used the project to challenge the procurement method for work of this nature, change old cultures and behaviours within our business and with this introduce new ways of working to promote health and wellbeing, flexibility and new efficiencies across the office, as we grow together as a business. The response to the new space by the entire North West team has been overwhelmingly positive and justifies the time and effort spent in creating this amazing, timeless space.”
