First reservations made at development of 23 business units

The first reservations are being made by businesses at a multi-million pound speculative development of 23 business units – the first of its kind in Bedford for more than 20 years – as construction continues to gather pace.

Leading commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond is showing potential occupiers around the first of the units to be completed at the Glenmore Business Park development, which is due to reach practical completion in September.

Local businesses are keen to see the mix of light industrial and warehouse units, available for sale or lease, at the Arkwright Road site in Bedford.

Andrew Clarke, head of commercial agency at Kirkby Diamond in Bedford, who has been appointed to market the units, said: “With around four months to go before Glenmore Business Park reaches practical completion, we are delighted to announce that we are already taking reservations for the first units.

“With rents starting at £11,750, and freeholds available, the development is proving to be extremely popular among the region’s business community. Bedford has had to wait more than 20 years for a development of this kind and there is significant pent-up demand for the high quality space on offer.”

Units range in size from 1,104 sq ft to 1,550 sq ft and can be combined to create larger units. Each unit will have a first floor capable of being used as offices, sectional roller shutter loading doors, six-metre eaves height, and allocated parking spaces.

The Glenmore Group is a London-based investment and development company. Since the company was founded in 1994 it has combined its energy and experience to create imaginative new ways of creating business space.
