A leading property agency has made a record 30 promotions across the business – including three new partners.

Fisher German, which has 15 offices across the UK, has seen a record number of employees advance in the business at the same time after implementing a new career progression framework.

The firm has also announced that head of planning Liberty Stones and head of infrastructure services Richard Broome have accepted an invitation to join the equity of the partnership.

The promotions were made at nine offices after a continued period of growth across the firm, which offers professional services and support in all aspects of land and property management.

These include Sarah DeRenzy-Tomson, Ruth Ofield and Struan McDougall, who were promoted to partners.

They were appointed after taking part in Fisher German’s inaugural ‘Pathway to Partnership’ scheme, which aims to prepare associate directors for the many responsibilities of being a partner.

Candidates who are put forward to complete the year-long programme are required to undertake a variety of training and tasks which develop their leadership skills and management approach.

Sarah, who is based at the firm’s Ashby office, joined Fisher German in 2014 and leads the firm’s utilities and sustainable energy planning team, delivering specialist planning advice for projects across England, Scotland and Wales.

Ruth, who is based at the Banbury office, has been at Fisher German since graduating and has a leading role in in the utilities and infrastructure sector of the business, including working with national utility clients such as National Grid and UK Power Networks.

Struan, who also chartered with the firm, is based in Doncaster and works in the rural sector of the firm.

His main area of expertise is estate management and consultancy, acting as the day to day contact for more than 6,000 acres of agricultural, residential and commercial property in Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.

The ‘Pathway to Partnership’ scheme was part of a wider career progression framework implemented in April last year for employees at all levels of the business.

Charles Meynell, senior partner of Fisher German, said: “We are very proud to announce a record 30 promotions across Fisher German, and I would like to congratulate all of those who have progressed within the business.

“Our new career progression framework offers an inclusive approach so that colleagues at every level have a clear pathway to develop and progress should they wish to – something which is very important to Fisher German and has been well-received by staff.

“This means that we are creating a working environment which champions creating opportunities for all, where all colleagues receive the recognition they deserve and the support to develop their skills without having to look for employment elsewhere in order to progress.

“We have seen continued growth across the firm, and this is testament to the high quality, professional service that we provide to our clients. We will continue to support staff development and drive the business forward in the future.”
