Fully consented warehouse/industrial unit moves forward at Castlewood, J28, M1

Castlewood Business Park offers prime distribution or production space at Junction 28 of the M1 at its intersection with the A38, providing the East Midlands foremost site.

With space already constructed by CWC Group on the scheme of over 1.5 million sq ft, agents for Castlewood, Tim Gilbertson of FHP and Ranjit Gill of Savills have confirmed CWC’s further plans for a prime 207,000ft² unit on the park.

To follow hot on the heels of CW72, a 72,000ft² warehouse/production unit which is currently being speculatively built out, CW207 is a consented scheme to provide 207,000ft² of prime distribution or manufacturing space on the park.

Literally adjoining the M1 at Junction 28, the consented unit can be erected within 34 weeks and will be available for occupiers to purchase or rent.

Tim Gilbertson of FHP commented:

“It is great for us to be able to push forward again on Castlewood to follow on the recent development of a 250,000ft² facility for Alloga and the forthcoming completion of our speculative development on site of a 72,000ft² unit.

CW207 will be a welcome addition to the scheme in a market sector with good demand, evidenced by how other developers are frantically trying to find land in the region, whilst we have what we would like to think is the best site in the East Midlands with a fully consented big shed unit which can be constructed within 9 months.

Distribution occupiers always want to be as close as possible to the M1, well at CW207 you can literally wave at passing traffic and on a site with occupiers including Alloga, Co-operative Group, Bombardier and many other household names, we really hope that this opportunity will be well received.

Castlewood’s prime location is augmented still further by the recent facilities constructed on site as we have Costa Coffee, convenience store and petrol filling station all now providing the facilities that so many stand alone distribution boxes cannot. A great advantage for businesses to offer facilities on site to attract and retain staff but also it is great to have somewhere to nip out for a coffee for an impromptu meeting or simply have a break from work.”
